While we have proper sofas, some times the kids just want to sit a bit nearer to the TV, especially when playing games, or sit on the floor.
This flip out sofa can switch between a small (one to two child) seat or a small bed, useful for sleepovers. The bed's size isn't all that long, so children older than 5 may find their legs going over the end, but it's still used in our lounge for my youngest (now 8) to lay around on,
Blowing the sofa up was straight forward and required less puff than I thought it would. It was fully inflated in about 3 minutes, not bad at all, through a single air port at the bottom. The cover is easily removable for washing, though it's quite thin.
The lack of thickness in the material of the cover does concern me in regards to this sofa eventually getting a puncture, especially with the dog taking a liking to sleeping on it when she can get away with it, but her claws haven't made a hole in it as yet. I'd recommend the material based flip out sofas like the Disney Designs Cloth/ Foam Flip Out Sofa Minnie Mouse one which is only slightly more expensive if you're concerned about this.
This is a good, fun alternative to a bean bag for kids and the ability to flip it out to a small bed could well be useful.
