More About the Author

I was born in Montreal, Canada, at a very young age, where I still live with my spouse, Joanne, under the watchful eye of Krystalle and Midnight, two black females of the feline persuasion. In a former life, I completed my studies at McGill University and worked in various management capacities for a handful of firms for countless years. From there, considering my extensive background in human resources and finance, it was a logical leap in my career path to stay home and write crime thrillers.

My first stab at writing was actually in 1995, the result being my first novel, "Vigilante". Two others of the same series followed by 1997 but all three remained dormant until publication in 2009. Since, besides writing a stand-alone, seven other thrillers have joined the VIGILANTE series. I also penned "Something's Cooking", a faux-erotica parody and cookbook under the pseudonyms Réal E. Hotte and Dasha Sugah. I'm currently working on "Sins in the Sun", the eleventh installment of my series.

Other interests besides writing and subtly persuading people to buy my books include reading, making noise with my six guitars, painting (oil and watercolour), cooking (year round though I love the grill in the summer), traveling and planning to work out soon. I've also been known to sleep on occasion.

About the Author

I was born in Montreal, Canada, where I still reside with my spouse, Joanne. I completed my studies in human resources, accounting and management at McGill University and worked in various management capacities in the fields of HR and finance for a handful of firms for what seemed like decades, because it was. I should also mention I love pizza, but who doesn't and, in my opinion, nothing rocks more than cooking on the grill. My first stab at writing was in 1995, the result being my first novel, Vigilante. This was subsequently followed by The Consultant (1996) and Mind Games (1997), all of the same series. Professional obligations and other creative interests led me away from writing for a number of years but I found myself busy at the keyboard in 2009 with The Homeless Killer after having finally published my first three novels. I then followed up with 6 Hours 42 Minutes in 2011, also part of the VIGILANTE series born from Vigilante. In July 2011, I released ASYLUM, my first stand-alone novel and Discreet Activities, my sixth Barry/McCall crime thriller was published in January 2012. In October 2012, I penned and released Something?s Cooking, a faux-erotica parody and cookbook under the pseudonyms Réal E. Hotte and Dasha Sugah. My eighth novel and seventh installment of the VIGILANTE series, Femme Fatale, was released in late February 2013. I think I'm really starting to like this writing thing. Besides writing, editing and promoting my work, I also spend some artistic energy with my five guitars, oil paints and watercolours. Other passions include cooking (big time with fine wine to go with it, of course), reading, traveling and working out just enough to stay fit. It should also be noted that following several years of practice, I now excel at being cat furniture for Krystalle and Midnight, or so they tell me. I've been waiting for this for some time and closely follow Claudes twitter account for info( @ceebee308 )
I knew from this the book was due so had been sitting impatiently waiting since Sunday for its release..

I purchased it as soon as the tweet about the release came through.. jumped off twitter and into the best several hours read I've had for a long time.

The story, which I won't divulge any details of, is fast paced, twisting and thoroughly engrossing. I got through it in a single trance like read.. you may think that was because its short, its not.
Well balanced storyline, a huge shock(for me) a wry knowing smile for the ending and the characters I have come to know and love..

I could probably write several thousand words on this review right now, however the next line will sum it up..

Buy this book right now!!! oh and read all the others in the series as well.. in order..

thanks for another amazing book Claude, a true gentleman and an awesome writer

I couldn't put this one down. I've read all of the vigilante series but I think this one may have been my favourite as I couldn't stop reading!

Yet another good read in the Vigilante series. In fact, perhaps even better than the earlier ones, with a new and gripping plot angle and with the characters becoming more sharply and interestingly defined as the series has matured.
