Product Description

Review

PRAISE FOR ‘THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI’:

"A captivating story that teaches as it delights.” Paulo Coelho

“The book is about finding out what is truly important to your real spiritual self rather than being inundated with material possessions.” Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon)

“[Its] principles have been fascinating and there were shared principles from writers such as Robin Sharma and Deepak Chopra. How does all that impact on a game of rugby? I can’t answer that. All I know is it’s enough to help me to proceed in a way that makes me happy enough to go out there and be proud of who I am and what I hope I can bring to this team.” Jonny Wilkinson

I was given this book for Christmas and it sat on my shelf along with the other books queuing to be read! I am an avid reader and of the many self development books I have read this has got to be one of the most uplifting and inspirational. It is an enchanting story that also has many practical applications. I had many "aha" moments a number of which brought a tear to my eye. I have made some dramatic changes to my life and attitudes as a result of reading this book and would highly recommend it to all others who are READY to seek their destiny. I do emphasize the word READY as don't think you will find your destiny simply by reading the book - you must take action on your life also! :-)

A great follow-up to the monk who sold his Ferrari which we highly recommend that you read first to get a clear understanding of who Julian Mantle is.

Julian continues where he left off from the first book and this time he becomes a mentor to a financially successful business person, who despite his external riches is not happy internally.

By the end of the book, Dar Sanderson the mentee will have learnt 7 important steps to self-awakening, which are as follows:-

Stage 1 - Living a lie
Stage 2 - The Choice point
Stage 3 - Awareness of Wonder and Possibility
Stage 4 - Instructions from Masters
Stage 5 - Transformation and Rebirth
Stage 6 - The Trial
Stage 7 - The great Awakening of self

Every individual is different and we have no doubt that we will all take something special away from this book, whether you start writing your thoughts down in a journal or start waking up earlier to do meditation. The steps in this book can make a change to your life for the better; the only requirement is your participation.

This book is too similar to "The Monk who sold his Ferrari" that it does not add much value and can be boring. I definitively recommend the first one and "Leadership from the Monk...". Another very annoying thing in his book, the word "amigo" is used too many times and Robin Sharma tends to be trendy and fails on his own principles...

I've never felt compelled to write a review before, but this book is amazing. I've read many spirituality books and not found the answers I've been looking for until now. The story that unfolds helps you to analyse your behaviour and change it for the better, thereby changing your life experience in the process. If you too are a seeker, this book will help.

Written by one of my favourite authors. Every book is aimed at a slightly different audience. I enjoyed this immensely , but thought that the Saint, the surfer and the CEO outdid this book in sheer polished writing style and storytelling. But nevertheless a good read.
