It is a perfect gift for two people to whom I am giving the books (got 2 copies) whose lives are in different ways associated with the book of Daniel in the Bible. It consists of 31 short chapters; one can be read each day of the week for a month.

Inspiring, Deeply Educational, A Godly Masterpiece 6 Sep 2007
By Pedro J. Roman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This book has taught me aspects of the Bible that were unknown to me, as a person who is trying to learn the way to know God. Dr. Youssef is brilliant in the way he presents his lessons, combining Biblical passages with aspects of modern life. This is a must-read for anybody who wants to improve the knowledge of The Bible, as a way to develop an intimate relationship with God.

Highly motivational, very inspiring 3 Jun 2011

From a Christian perspective, I think as Christians in America we tend to be so absorbed in our culture (and many of our churches are, too) that we forget the power that people in the Bible had who loved and followed after God. That power is still available to us today. We tend to shy away from any kind of confrontation with our culture and yet, as Christians, we are admonished to NOT become a part of the culture. Unfortunately, we have failed miserably and most of the time I don't think we are even unhappy about it. We need to get back to living according to the Bible and not our culture. This is a powerful book to get you back on track. Here's a quote from the book flap--"Using as his model the Old Testament prophet Daniel, Youssef points out that Daniel was a captive in a foreign land under the rule of pagan emperors. Yet, by accessing God's power and taking uncompromising stands when opportunities occurred, he witnessed the downfall of evil kings, caused a whole nation to worship his God, and experienced miraculous escape from a death sentence." Who knows, you might just be the person God uses "for such a time as this" unless, of course, you're way too comfortable living in your culture. In that case, you need to question if you are truly Christian. This book is highly inspirational for those of us who truly seek to make a difference in our world, even if it's only in one person's life or an entire nation like Daniel.
