Format:Audio CD
Well this is yet another great release by the hed kandi label Ive given it 4 stars because i thought the previous disco heaven was slightly better.
If you regularly buy Hed Kandi CDS then you know what to expect- 24 tracks of unmixed dancefloor fillers, the music is very funky and very discoee, track 2 "catch the beat" sums up this style.The packageing design is the tip of the iceburg- totally unique and the little details in the text always raises a smile.
If you have never bought a Hed Kandi CD do so today!- they are SO much better than all those poor ministry of sound and other dance compilation albums, and thats a fact!. But be warned you may end up wanting to get alot of the back catalogue- which isnt cheap!

There isn't that much that I can say about this album except that if you wanna get a good funky house mix CD anything from the Disco Kandi range is pretty much guaranteed to be excellent. I have them all and not one of them has dissapointed me, they all make you think that you should be in Miami, in a nightclub, on a pair of rollerskates (this is optional), shaking your bootee! If you like proper house music with piano's and singing and proper musicians. GET IT!

The Head Kandi range of compilations are usually of very high quality, and this one is no exception, its smooth and good for chilling out to. Tracks from T Ski Valley and and Danny Howells really kick off this album, with their latin beats and the smooth vocals. The whole album has been well picked - remixes from Mousse T and Full Intension really do compliment the mix. The best thing is that if you don't know more obscure mixes, you are treated to commercial tracks like Moony's Dove. Other greats come from Jean Jaques Smoothie and Ravem Maize.
Once the first CD is over, its not the end of this great ride, the second CD is disco-house with filtered samples, beats you can dance to in a disco with your partner. Tracks from Raven Maize really kick the mix up the the max - and the added smoothness of Tim Deluxe, its like having a private nightclub in your own home. The mix is all brought to its climax when War - Galaxy 2000 comes on. With its laid back beats, you can't help think this is one of the best Disco Kandi CDs.
So, to finish off, definately worth getting, not just for the commercial stuff, but for those rare 12" you can't live without.. and also a great reminder of the Ibiza season.
