In 10+ years of being on Amazon this is the first time I've been inspired to write a review. I really wasn't sure what to expect from an album that I never even knew had been recorded and had been withheld for 30+ years. Usually theres a good reason for such a move ie. theyre rubbish. But to my absolute surprise I was blown away by EVERY track on this... the first time a "new" release has done that for me in a very long time!

I've been a big Todd fan since the late 70s, and this is without question my favourite album he has EVER released. Utopia go "spacerock-disco"! If you like the mid-70s heavy-laden keyboard Todd/Utopia sound, and also care for the classic disco sound of that era you'll love it too. Its criminal that it has been hidden away for so long, but, for me, its a real tonic when compared to the boring corporate rubbish that passes for rock and pop these days. I can only guess that back in those days disco music was considered a poor cousin of rock and releasing it back then they feared might have been considered some sort of "sell-out".

The whole record is laden with rich keyboards and "spacey" sound effects. Stand-out cuts for me are the title track, the crazy "Cosmic Convoy" which takes CW.McCall into outer space, and the gorgeous discofied take on the Star Trek theme. But frankly there isn't a duff moment on the whole disc. And to think that it was allegedly recorded in one weekend makes it all the more stunning.

Highly recommended! I'd give it at least 7 stars if I could. A big thankyou and ton of gratitude to whoever was involved in finally getting this absolute gem out!

this cd was recorded partially as a bit of fun.it features john seigler on bass, and the majority of utopia mk11 and 111.its basically some fun instrumentals like a faithfull take on the star trek theme. i would say this is for fanatics only as the the tracks dont bear repeated listens .after all a lost utopia album and theyve only now given it official release there has to be a reason and that is that its nothing special .for todd worshippers only

I chose a 4* rating because said item does what it says on the packaging
I've played this product a few times now & it's exactly what I was looking for
& yes said product met my expectations that is for sure well satisfied cheers
& yes I would recommend said product to future prospect clients because
it's excellent value for money does what it says it does in the packaging &
one would not be disappointed with said product that's is for sure enjoy :-) :-)
Yeah this Utopia vinyl LP/CD certainly is out of the blue to be honest it's
not one of my favorite Utopia LP's I would put this Utopia in the ball park
along with for example A) Deface The Music & B) Oblivion
The Utopia Albums which are my personal favorites are as follows & off of
the top of my head.
1) RA 2) Adventures In Utopia 3) Oops Wrong Planet 4) Network
5) Trivial 6) P.O.V. 7) Swing To The Right 8) Back To The Bars
To name a few yeah all unique and classic progressive rock music LP's
with their own orig sound/tunes/pyramids/& tumble weeds thrown in for
good measure point being when Utopia performed live they did not perform
any tracks from Disco Jets they tended to use tracks/songs from their
1) To 8) Albums Selection however like myself being an old Utopia Fan
I suppose it's one of those albums to add to ones collection yes the
songs are orig but the sound lingers & dwells in the Seventies no
wonder Utopia gave them a wide berth when performing live or as Todd-R
would say not appropriate to perform live or go onto the set list however
said CD/LP is as cheap as chips & if ones looking to drift back in time
then it's not a bad addition to ones CD collection yeah later's folks
