Disco Heaven 01.05 delivers many exclusive and hard-to-find examples of the defining Kandi sound; big, funky, hands-in-the-air anthems with huge, commanding vocals that could polish even the most tarnished of glitterballs. Tracks come from Kandi's own LnM Projekt and their self-fulfilling track titled "Everywhere" (one of the hottest records in clubland), "Take Me Away" from StoneBridge also features, while Who Da Funk's "In the Night" and "Fade" by Solu Music further demonstrate the label's increasing prowess with artist projects. Other tracks deemed heavenly enough to appear include "Be My Friend" from Scape feat. D'Empress, Solitaire's glorious version of "You've Got the Love", Inaya Day's "Hold Your Head Up High" plus the massive Michael Grey number "The Weekend" alongside dancefloor favourites David Morales and Seamus Haji.

In my opinion - DISCO HEAVEN is what Kandi do best - and this years offering is as good as ever.
Firslty - Kandi have never ben an elitist brand - and have never shied away from the odd bit of Cheesy House on their comilations - if you want something dry humourless but funky - try a 'Defected' offering - but inclusions slagged off in previous reviews are a part of what makes this compilation Truly Kandi?!!!?
Tracks like Soulshaker's 'Hypnotic Erotic Games' and K&M's 'Pink in the colour' are so infectious they should carry a health warning - and the rest of the compiltaion is colourful - and rammed with 99% killer - very very little filler....
Long live Kandi .........

OK, let's see. I love what Team Kandi are doing at the moment, but this album has plenty of hits and a good few misses. For example, on disc one you have absolute smashes from Shawn Christopher, Soul Shaker, Anrea T. Mendoza & Tibet and Solitaire. Then you have the misses from K&M, a pretty weak remix of Therese's 'Take Me Away' by MaUVe and 100%'s awful remake of 'Saturday'.
The reason why I'm giving DISCO HEAVEN 01.05 four stars is for disc two. It's packed full of funky, hands-in-the-air House music. My personal favourites come from The Brand New Heavies, Michael Gray, Gadjo, Soul Central, Inaya Day and Freeloaders.
So shine those disco balls and get down to some glittering Disco-House anthems!

Thanks Mark... What a brilliant way to start the year, push those cold grey clouds aside. A little bit everything in my opinion as at times your feel a little Disco Kandi or even Twisted Disco. After a few wobbly compilations last year this is right back on form.

excellent work
I totally agree, its clearly one of the Best Hed Kandi cd's. The disc 2 is better but the whole album is great. You cant easily find compilations like this easily.
