The highly acclaimed Disco Discharge is back with 4 more double albums to be released in Spring 2010.
The third instalment Disco Discharge: Disco Boogie features 20 full length Funk, Soul and Boogie Jams. Disco didn't really die at the end of `79 it just morphed into a number of new styles and that's what Disco Boogie is all about. The cuts on this album are mostly culled from the early 80's with a smattering of 70's tracks to add to the mix. Key tracks include the rarities `I'd Like To' by Feel, `Rescue Me' by Sybil Thomas, `Inner Feelings' by Cashmere, `You Make It Heaven' by Terri Wells, `Night
Cruiser' by Deodato and `Straight Ahead' by the Nick Straker Band. Tracks appearing on CD for the first time include the instrumentals `Switch' by Benelux And Nancy Dee and a cover of the standard `Autumn Leaves' By Illusion Orchestra (otherwise known as Jolley and Swain of Imagination fame.) Disco diva Sharon Redd's `Love How You Feel' is a standout as is Maxine Singleton's `You Can't Run From Love.' And if you're wondering what AOR band Toto are doing on this compilation just take a listen to `Georgy Porgy' which features Cheryl Lynn and you'll see why we couldn't miss it out. All tracks are 12" of
long album versions.

Disco Discharge goes boogie! A splenid collection of tracks mostly culled from the 80's with a few from the 70's thrown in for good measure. What I love about this series is that they draw you in with a few well known classics and once you've played them all you can concentrate on the rarer cuts. Some of the stand outs for me are "I'd Like To" by Feel, "Rescue Me" by Sybil Thomas, "You Make It Heaven" by Terri Wells, Straight Ahead" by Nick Straker Band & "You Can't Run From Love" by Maxine Singleton. Best of all is "Georgy Porgy" by Toto feat. Cheryl Lynn. What a fantastic tune. More well known cuts come courtesty of Average White Band, Sharon Redd and D Train but they all sit very well in the running order and it's always a pleasure to hear them. Lovely stuff indeed.

Really love this cd and also so disappointed at the same time. I bought this mainly for one track of which i have the vinyl 12" and have never been able to find on cd ( feel alright - Komiko), so imagine my massive disappointment to find it's not on here. All in all a great cd for the price , but please get the track listing correct.

YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS 2 CD SET, IT WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF SOME GREAT MUSIC AND IT WILL BRING YOU LOTS OF JOY, IF YOU CAN RECALL THEM ALL THE FIRST TIME ROUND LIKE ME......LOL. THE DISCO-DISCHARGE SET OF CDS HAS DONE IT AGAIN, ITS' WHAT I THINK THE BEST DISCO SONGS AROUND AND I HOPE THEY DO LOTS MORE AND MORE.... IF YOU LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS OR JUST WANT TO HAVE SOME FUN, YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS CD..........GET ON DOWN.................ENJOY
