I am an avid collector of late 70's & 80's Disco/HI-NRG/Eurobeat music, and many thanks to the amazing "Mr Pinks" we are currently being treated to an amazing set of CD's under the "Disco Discharge" banner!
EURO - BEATS continues in teh saga..and gives us a prime selection of disco/eurobeat magic which includes tracks by RYAN PARIS, FUN FUN, TAFFY, and many more artists of this era. What is so great about these compilation CD's is the fact that many of the tracks have never seen light of day on CD before. For under a tenner, you get a two CD album, including great artwork and liner notes by disco expert Alan Jones.
Can't wait for CRUSIN THE BEATS later in the month :)

The worst from D.D. so far. Out of phase recording (step forward Kano) and horrid out of tune singing as well as seemingly endless 80's 'dance music' - what less could you want?

I am at a loss at the negativity of two of the reviews here. I have bought all of the Disco Discharge albums and am constantly amazed at how they manage to source the more obscure tracks. Euro Beats continues in the same mould as the others. I realise that Italo Disco has been compiled many times but as far as I can remember Disco Discharge is the only UK label to dare to put out a lot of the Italo classics and for that we should be thankful. In addition the packaging is vastly superior to any other Italo compilations out there. I love the track listing on this album and the inclusion of instrumental versions is a bonus to me. For example the dub of 'Boys' by Sabrina'. I am very happy to have that on CD instead of the much played original. Same goes for the instrumental of 'Feel The Drive' by Doctor's Cat. The complaint about there being a couple of 7" versions included accross the four new releases I can understand but knowing how hard they go to source the best masters I am sure there must be a good reason for it. My favoutite tracks on the album are 'He's Speedy Like Gonzalez' by Pasengers, 'Get Up Action' by Digital Emotion, 'Desert Place' by The Twins & 'Love Taker' by Stefano Pulga.
