Product Description

Amazon.co.uk

It's been 18 years since TSOL last released an album with Jack Grisham's Damned-like operatic sneer on vocals, and things haven't changed a bit on Disappear. Ron Emory is still blasting out hi-octane bursts of guitar. Mike Roche still loops his gothic-tinged bass round insanely catchy pop-punk numbers such as the anti-establishment "Anti-Cop" and gleeful hedonism of "Wasted". Dark humour and blazing drum-fills battle for pride of place, and over everything Jack sings like a Clockwork Orange-extra possessed. Listening in to this fiercely anachronistic, decidedly early 80s sound, it's almost as if the last two decades never existed and there's still a riot at every show this So Cal punk band plays. --Everett True

5.0 out of 5 stars Best comeback since Bad Religion's Suffer 3 Aug 2004
By D. K. Malone - Published on Amazon.com

I heard that TSOL had gotten back together and put out a new album a few years ago. Knowing that punk comebacks are often boring and sometimes even pathetic, I wasn't interested. Now I've finally checked out the album, and I must say I'm impressed. This sounds so much like early TSOL, I can hardly believe it. Most musicians seem to change their technique as the years go by, until they can't even play their own early material properly anymore. But this album sounds like TSOL could have recorded it back in the early 80s. I guess I can finally forgive them for the Change Today album and all of the utter crap that followed.

The more current TSOL album, Divided We Stand, is also good, but unfortunately doesn't seem to exhibit the classic TSOL sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars TSOL reappears 17 July 2001
By JP - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
TSOL has gone through numerous changes, at one point containing no original members. They've gone from old-school punk in the early 80s to metal in the late 80s. In Disappear three of the original four members, including singer Grisham, return to bring with them some of that old-school punk flavor that made them icons in the first place. I recommend buying this album, if not for the great music, for the financial support of a couple of aging punk icons.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great 2 Jan 2005
By Scott - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This was the 1st TSOL album I bought, and I bought this one not knowing many of the tracks. I think this is a great release, comparable to the early 80's material that TSOL put out. I love the track, Disappear. Pyro is pretty good too though...
