Product Description

Review

"Disability Theory is a field-defining book: and if you're curious about what "disability" has to do with "theory," it's just the book you've been waiting for, too. - Michael Berube, Penn State University "Magisterially written, thoroughly researched, and polemically powerful." - Michael Davidson, University of California, San Diego "A powerful manifesto that calls theory to account and forces readers to think beyond our comfort zones." - Helen Deutsch, University of California, Los Angeles"

Accepting the disabled as a political group 27 Feb. 2014

The book is one of the most difficult reads I've ever seen, even for a textbook. The book is required for a college course on critical reading and composition. Although the text is extremely difficult, the lessons learned after careful reading and help from the professor, the information is excellent and thought provoking.
