I have never written a review before but this purchase has annoyed me so much for the waste of money and being a Dirty Dancing fan I was utterly disapointed!!

I have many many excercise DVD's but when I saw that a Dirty Dancing Dance DVD had come out I was so excited and got it immediately!!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! It's absolutely awful! The presenters are so awful it's annoying...their voices will grate on you in the end! There's nothing from the movie really like the fab soundtracks etc. Think the only relation is the names of some of the moves. I normally pick up routines fairly easily but these were an utter nightmare...AWFUL!!!!

Stick to what you know and don't fall for the gimmick!!!

this dvd is great....if u can get past the presenters annoying accents! i did notice that now again even the background dancers got it wrong but all in all a must for any Dirty Dancing fan!
I'd say watch it right thru once without trying it then get up and dance as a few of the moves are a little complicated.
(look out for the male dancer bravely soldiering on during the practice of Johnny's Mambo despite having an untied shoelace!)

I actually think the DVD is quite good fun. I bought it to try and introduce some exercise into my life as I am quite overweight and unfit.

I find the cheesiness of the presenters quite endearing, they are certainly enthusiastic and I think that the dance moves are quite well presented.

I concentrated mainly on the first part " the syllabus" for a while so that I had a vague idea of the steps before I tried the actually routines.

I like the fact that the dances are taught to you more slowly than when dancing to the actual soundtrack as it gives you something to work towards.

I also liked the fact that even the dancers made mistakes- It gave me the impression that you dont have to be perfect and that its just a bit of fun.

I might look like a lemon whilst im doing it , but I am currently really having fun with it :)

I might not end up a size 10 with a 6 pack but at least im doing something energetic and having some fun.

I think this dance video is good fun, my daughter and me follow the steps 2 times a week as part of a getting fitter and healthier regime, we always end up laughing.
