I bought this item about 9 months ago and I have used it twice, simply because it's much easier to use a dustpan and brush and do the work yourself. Its suction power is good, however, its major flaw is that the nozzle is way too thick and you just cannot reach corners or edges. The first time I went to hoover the stairs (the reason I bought this) I had to use a small brush to brush away the dirt from the corners and edges towards the middle so the hoover could reach it! Totally useless as I ended up doing most of the hard work myself. I cannot believe this little hoover does not come with a separate nozzle to attach the the end so it can reach the edge of the carpet. It's such a shame really as it's quite a powerful little thing and looks gorgeous.

After the initial overnight charge of 15hrs on 20th December 2011, this lightweight little vac with it's modern look and blue LED has been used for little jobs almost every day and is still running off it's first charge (I have not kept it on constant charge) as at 1st January 2012, with no loss of power.
It is very powerful, easy to use and so far gets 5 stars. However it does have one major flaw which others have pointed out as well - without a detachable crevice nozzle this lovely little powerful machine's abilities have been drastically reduced and it's such a shame. If a little nozzle had been included it would have received 5 stars across the board from me but, and it's a big but - without the nozzle you cannot get into nooks and crannies - so is useless for car cleaning, against skirting boards and in fact anywhere where those illusive bits/crumbs/pet hairs fall which is usually against something or in crevices. So for power and ease of use it's excellent and fully worth 5 stars, but the non-inclusion of a small nozzle has been a serious mistake which has been reflected in my overall score.

The fisrt thing that strikes you about this hand held vaccum cleaner is the craftsmanship. It is beautifully crafted, compact and does what it says. It best suited for use in the kitchen and other areas where you can pick up large particles, but not for corners as the nozzle is large and not flexible. It works well on the stairs just not small corners. It is has a base unit that charges it and the handheld device is cordless and rechargeable, which is a real advantage. I really love this, it is easy on the eyes and portable enough to move around. I recommend.

Excellent device
It's good for basic cleaning but a lack of interchangable nozzles hinders its potential. The glowing blue stand is very futuristic looking.

Use for loose dirt only
Dirt Devil have been around for a while now producing what I would consider run of the mill vacuum cleaners that do a somewhat average job at best and this is no different. Read more

Not ideal - might be better with a dustpan and brush!
It works ok picking up crumbs on a hard surface, or even on a carpet, however it doesn't work so well picking up bits of loose thread off a carpet. Read more
