Build quality 1/5
In a word, rubbish. The main 'body' of the cleaner and wheels are ok but that is where any illusions of 'build quality' come to an end. Hose head and cable retractor jammed up every time we used it. Dust container is cheap and nasty and has sharp edges. After only 3 weeks use, the hose was becoming detached from the angled nozzle holder and we had to keep pushing it back in. Suction head felt flimsy and cheap and kept becoming detached. After only three weeks use, body marked up very badly. After 4 weeks use the vacuum began to overheat and cut out after only finishing two rooms of the house.
Frustrating to use for so many reasons. Due to the angled departure from main body of the suction hose, it was impossible to move the thing smoothly around the room, with the cleaner flipping over onto the top far too often and either switching itself off due to the silly location of the power switch (in a corner) or knocking the power level switch down. Wheels are not 100% flush so often they caught on door frames and furniture legs. On off switch is not positive in action. Variable power control was pointless. On anything other than full power it is not powerful enough. Dust collector fills up too quickly, and is awkward and nasty to empty with sharp edges and a poorly designed release catch. Internal cone filter fiddly to use and get clogged up too quickly. Machine made a lot of noise and got very hot, with very little to show for it. I could go on but I think you get the picture...Read more ›
