Burnin' Hot!

Leo's 5 was the house band in the late 50's - early 60's at The Blue Note club in East St. Louis. All of the band's members have passed except for the cookin' drummer, Kenny Rice. The late Don James shows on this album that he could hold his own on the Hammond B-3 right there with Jimmy Smith or any other organ player, past or present, all the while playing driving bass lines. If you like the sounds of a vintage "after hours" club, You'll love this CD
