Dino Paul Crocetti began his singing career in 1941 initially billed as Dino Martini but the name soon got changed to Dean Martin. He first worked with comedian Jerry Lewis at the 500 club in Atlantic City, developing an ad libbing song and comedy act which quickly became very popular, breaking through onto US TV and radio by the late 40's. He had a series of 11 top 10 UK singles all in his inimitable style including "Memories Are Made of This" (no. 1), "That's Amore" (no. 2), "Return To Me" (no. 2), "Volare" (no. 2) and "Sway" (no. 6). These hits have been coupled with songs that, although never released as singles, are equally well known, loved and synonymous with Dean Martin including; "Ain't That A Kick In The Head", "Mambo Italiano" and "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You". Dean Martin made it all look easy.
