A wonderful cookbook! The recipes are terrific, with clear step by step instructions, and profusely illustrated. Annie Nichols' love of food radiates through the whole book and makes you want to roll up your sleeves and get cooking. This book does for dinner parties what meerkats have done for insurance. A fabulous book, warmly recommended.
Absolutely love this cookbook, we've tried out loads of the recipes and can't recommend it enough - especially if you're having people over for a dinner party...
Beyond the fact that the mushroom lasagne in this book is an absolute winner, I love how truly original this book is, which given the number out there in the marketplace makes this quite a feat! I love how Annie has pulled together a consistent, well constructed way of explaining how to pull together some quite luxurios but simple food combinations. The book from cover to cover bubbles with personality, knowledge and love for what she does in way which simple makes you want to grab a bowl, whatever you can find in fridge and get cooking. The section of the book dedicated to explaining useful cooking utensils, I think is pure genius and the first section of it's kind I have ever seen.....surely Jamie Oliver should have included something like this in one of his given he has his own utensil range???, but I have never seen one.......
Anyway, enough of me, back to Annie and this amazing book.
