Dimsie Goes to School is the first in a series of girls school stories for the early teens. Dimsie, a motherless 11 year old goes to Janes (th ejAne Willard Foundation) for her fisrt term with her head girl cousin Daphne. A new Headmistress causes problems within the school, as does the confusion over the shared names of Dimsie and Daphne, both called Daphne Isabel Maitland. Eventually, after school chaos, Dimsie is reunited with ... well, you'll have to read it!
