The Dimplex OFC2000 oil filled column radiator is strong robust and durable, with castors to enable easy movement about the room, or from room to room as required. Additionally the OFC2000 features thermostatic control with a choice of two heat settings and an integral cable tidy making it easier to store away when not in use. Plus, the heating element is completely sealed making the design extremely safe and reliable, as well as maintenance free. Finished in a neutral white, the OFC2000 can be used discreetly in any room of the home, whilst BEAB Intertek safety approval and a 3 year manufacturers warranty offer added peace of mind.
Oil filled radiators offer strong radiant heat which is ideal to heat people rather than the air. They are generally more expensive than convectors or fan heaters and tend to be more durable and resilient to every day knocks. Outputs vary from 1.5kw to 3kW and they often have various energy saving features such as thermostats, timers and a choice of heat settings. They are slower to warm up and less responsive than Oil Free radiators, fan heaters or convectors. Also, because they are filled with oil they are much heavier.

I have used almost daily for two months, it still has an electronics smell if you get above and close to the air vents next to the control knob. At first I thought it would go away after use, but it still hasn't.
This radiator provides a good level of warmth and also heats up quickly. You can vary the temperature quite considerably with the themostat control. The highest setting does give out a considerable amount of heat. However, this model of radiator is not without its problems. I bought two of these for my grandmother when her central heating stopped working, and to provide an additional source of heat for her over the winter when the central heating was fixed. This Dimplex radiator does come with a three-year guarantee, which is just as well because over a period of six months I had to get one of the radiators replaced on four different occasions. They were being used for several hours per day for most of this time, but surely should be more robust than that? Dimplex have very good customer service I must add when you do have a problem with one of their products, with replacements always arriving within 48 hours.
