Product Description
The Dimplex Zamora is a 2kW freestanding electric fire. This contemporary styled fire is designed to be used freestanding flat against a wall, has a choice of heat settings and comes complete with a choice of real coal or white pebble fuel bed (both included). Additionally the Zamora features the realistic moving flame effect Optiflame, which can be used with or without heat, making it perfect for use all year round. The Zamora is finished in black with a chrome effect fret and trims, and has a 12 month manufacturers warranty. and BEAB Intertek approval for added safety assurance.
Electric fires are very easy to use as there is little or no installation required, and because they run off electric all you need to do is simply plug in and go! There is no annual maintenance required as with gas and they are 100% efficient at point of use.

Having looked at all the fires in the local DIY shop, this fire in particular stood out as different in style and strikingly modern looking with a nod back to the 1930s. It scores very very highly on the looks factor (I love the chrome look) and on pricing - its at the cheaper end of the prices, so you get a great-looking fire for a more than reasonable price. The flame effect is actually very realistic and quite impressive - sometimes you catch yourself looking at it and thinking it's the real thing (as opposed to some of the other fires out there which just look like bits of cloth flapping with a bulb). It comes with 2 heat settings and a choice of coal, or white stones to put in the fire section. I recommend the white stones, which really add to the attractiveness.
As a final comment, two of our friends have come in, spotted the fire and gone 'ooh, isn't that nice' and asked about where to get one from.
Go on - go and buy one! When you're cold in the house, this'll bring warmth with style into your life!

Firstly the positives:
It was easy to setup and when started soon warms up a typical room. As well, the heater does look nice (perhaps cool is the wrong word) and its lighting effects brighten up winter evenings.
However, a slight drawback is the poorly positioned control switches for heating & lights. They are difficult to reach and awkward to handle for the elderly.
Apart from that, it definitely is a good value electric heater.

Product arrived very quickly, no assembly required, a choice of pebbles or actual coal for you fir affect, place against a wall, and switch on, fantastic looks like a real fire, a very good if you have no focal point to your room. Highly recommended.
