Product Description
The Dimplex 3kW 3087ST convector heater is ideal for use in any room (except bathrooms) where there is no heating, or heat is required unexpectedly. The gentle heat provided by this smart convector gives a comfortable heat without making a sound, and it's thermostat, choice of three heat settings and 24 hour electronic timer offer the user greater control over the energy it uses and operating times. Additionally the 3087ST features a turbo fan boost setting which helps to circulate the heat faster around the room, The 3087ST can be used either freestanding so it can be moved from room to room, or wall mounted (brackets included) for a more fixed heating solution. The 3087ST has a neutral white and light grey finish for unobtrusive application, plus BEAB Intertek Safety Approval and a 3 year manufacturers warranty. Wall brackets are located on the underside of the heater, please refer to instruction manual.
Convectors are an ideal alternative to a fan heater when it comes to heating a room. They are larger and designed to be used either freestanding or wall mounted. They come in a choice of outputs ranging from 750W to 3kW, and many feature energy saving features such as thermostats, choice of heat settings and timers. Certain models also come with inbuilt fans to extract the heat from the body of the product quickly and effectively. They are ideal as a form of low cost heating when an extension to a house has been built as they simply require mounting to the wall with brackets provided and plugged in. Far easier than extending the central heating system.

Generally happy with this purchase. Build quality is good. Timer easy to set, and clock doesn't reset when you remove power.
Only slight downside is the combination of heat settings/power combinations (you can't control these independently), so either 1kW with turbo fan, 2kW without turbo fan, or 3kW with turbo fan. So if you don't want the noise of the fan, you have to have 2kW.
(Note the max power is 3kW not the 300W stated on Amazon)

Delivered from Amazon. Packaging inadequate (no wrapping, box open, left outside in full view!!). Heater is easy to set up and is ideal for what I wanted it for (garden office - background heating). I have set it to come on for an hour in the early morning (thermostat set between 1 & 2) and it keeps the temperature at a moderate 60F.
Excellent product, worth paying the extra for over and above similar items from other manufacturers. Would definitely recommend.

great heater... worth spending a little more to have the extra power, timer, thermostat, turbo fan and good looks! does a good job of providing the boost we need either on the timer or at the press of the advance button. lcd display easy to use and functional - only criticism is that the controls are low down and as the unit is floor mounted you have to crouch to read it, or lift it up (which is ok actually as very light). having said that, once set there's little need to change the timing and the thermostat is a rotating knob so no problem there. would recommend...

Great Deal
This is an excellent fire.
We have a very cold conservatory in winter.
