Product Description

Product Description

"Dima's Dog School", a dog training book, is a practical guide for all dog owners based on Dima Yeremenko's unique method of hand-feeding and reward. The book is full of dog training tips. Designed to overcome most dogs' training and behavioural problems, it teaches dog owners that the answer is kindness and proper communication with their dog - whether they be rescue, mongrel, pedigree, puppy or mature. "Problems cannot be treated as isolated issues as is commonly believed," says Dima, "Training problems are a symptom of owners not being able to communicate effectively with their dogs. Fix this and any training problem can be overcome." The book explains all the basic tools dog owners need to become good dog handlers making their dog want to learn. Dima's Dog School's ten training sessions guide dog owners through all they need to learn to properly instruct their dogs with success. They will establish the essential foundations that can take them to any level of dog training, from general obedience to working in the show ring. Dima Yeremenko, MSc, was born in 1970 in Kharkov, Ukraine. Often called a Dog Whisperer, he graduated as a dog instructor at the age of 15 and was soon judging championships all over the country. Dima has also worked with wolves and foxes as well as a number of other species from cats to horses, birds and fish. In 1991, he came to Britain to study for a PhD at reading University. He founded the Good Boy Dog School in Hampstead, London, in 1996, which has quickly established a reputation as one of the finest in the country - The Times described Dima as "the magic dog whisperer of North London". Dima works closely with the RSPCA and Battersea Dogs Home in retraining rescue dogs and also specialises in training dogs for competitions and modelling assignments for print and TV media. Co-author Emily Randolph is an American journalist living in London with her husband and Jack Russell Terrier, Julia. It was through Julia's very bad behaviour that she met Dima, who transformed their lives. This is Emily's first book.

Format:Hardcover
One of the best dog training books i have read (and ive read ALOT) - interesting, written fantastically and charming. Basic training lessons that although not all his own are benficial to any dog owner whether their dog has a behavioural problem or just a need to enforce the bond between man and best friend. The author has a way of bringing the confidence up, after reading this book i felt inspired and able.

Invaluable if you own a dog!

Dima's Dog School 25 Jun 2004
By Eleanor
Format:Hardcover
This book was such a surpise! I expected it to be a very serious and boring training book like all the rest are, but this was so much fun! Finally someone has devised an inspiring way to train dogs - fun for owners and their dogs. And all the dog stories are so adorable. I will read it several times for the pure enjoyment of it.

Thank you Dima Yeremenko! I hope the whole world gets to read your book.
