This book is aimed at the American market, too many cup measures etc: for my likeing, and too much deep frying. There are other methods of cooking Dim Sum.

Not much to get excited about

There are a few interesting recipes in this book (the stuffed eggplant, for example) and there are illustrations for each dish, but beyond this the product itself is mediocre at best. The variety is limited, with just over thirty recipes, and a few dishes, such as 'Lion's Head' seemed odd choices for a dim sum book. I daresay beginners could fairly easily follow many of the recipes to produce decent results but, to my mind, there are far better dim sum books available.

I have other Dim Sum books that are better but if you can get this book on Amazon at a good discount price it's worth buying - but not at full price.
