I bought this tripod just as a test to see if I like the design of these ball and socket tripods. I thought if it's any good I'll get the gorillapod. I'm glad i bought this generic version first, the price is is low and i'm really impressed with the quality of it's build,and after reviewing the original Gorillapod there dosen't appear to be any difference in the materials used in construction, so I'll stick with this one. It's just right for my digital camera, it's sturdy,it dose the job at a fraction of the price. I'm very pleased with it.

it a very good tripod but only for compact cameras . if you want to put a bigger camera it will fall down .

Amazon Verified Purchase
I have a Sony Bloggie (small video camera) and it is really great for always being handy to grab those missable bits of footage. However, like all small cameras, there is the problem of camera shake or wobble that can tend to ruin what might otherwise be high quality video. I reviewed lots of products that were small, light, reasonably durable and cheap enough to always carry easily in the bottom of any bag. I am so glad I went for this one as it fills the bill exactly. It's infinately adjustable (except for height of course), it has a quick-release head (one bit stays screwed to the camera)and is really light and of course cheap! I've already used it loads and if it only lasts me a year, it won't owe me anything. If you've got a small camera, I thoroughly recommend this item, especially if you want the best quality shots - or just an easy means to set up a group photo, with you in the picture.

does what it says on the tin
Very swift delivery. tripod works really wel and is extremely flexible in its use. Easily as good as a Gorilla costing twice as much

Cheap and does the job.
Don't be put of by it being cheap. It works a treat and does the job. Seems pretty solid and doesn't feel cheap.
