Paint Shop Pro 4 supports 40 graphic file formats and has the potential to creatively bring to life a limitless number of ordinary images. The program provides an easy-to-follow slide show of the images you can create with simple instructions of how to use the tools to replicate the effects. For example, you can drop text onto images of rockets taking off or merge several heads of colourful parrots to create a stunning wallpaper look.
The options and versatility of this virtual design studio will keep dedicated artists and designers occupied for hours. You can add borders to images, airbrush them, crop them and alter the colour. Other features include a hot wax coating function which creates the effect of dipping an image in melted wax. You can also use a function called image arithmetic which lets you subtract or multiply the darkest and lightest pixels that make up a picture.
