I've bought several books by this publisher now, and will continue to do so - the production quality of the entire range is superb.
Firstly, the book does not just cover Fantasy art, but sci-fi, horror and other genre's, so bear that in mind. If you want a step by step, hand-holding guide to creating fantastic artwork, don't buy this - there are better guide on the market. This book is more generalistic in nature, and deals with the artistic aspects of fantasy art, including a short potted history, how to find inspiration, the nature of the genre etc.... Many top artists are interviewed, and each analyse a piece of their own work during all stages of it's production.
One of the most important features of the book, is the very fact that because it's not a technical book, more abstract subjects can be approached, such as how inspiration for artwork is found. This doesn't mean that there isn't any tips in the book - on the contrary, there are, but again, they are more generalised.
To sum up: if you want a step by step guide, look elsewhere. If you want to know how fantasy art is created from an artistic point of view, look no further
