Works well, but it has a limit of 200 degrees C, so if testing an oven over this temperature is your need, get a different unit

I used this probe to test my digital oven before doings some slow roasting. It's accurate to 1 degree C, which is brilliant. Some digital probes can't be left "plugged into" roasting meat, because the cable isn't heat proof. This one is. It has some preset cooking temperatures for different meats which aren't bad, and it can be programmed to sound an alarm when a preset temperature has been reached which is very useful.
I can't say I use it daily, but when I need an accurate probe it's perfect. So far, I've only once found the upper temperature limit to be any kind of limitation.

Great, simple to use, simple to clean gadget. Be careful of the 'chefs' setting though as they must like some of their meat still running around as I found this sometimes to be very rare, in fact raw on one occasion, for me the best settings are the medium which gives superb pink meat every time. Very responsive if you can't have it stuck in the meat all the time, I only say this as we have young children and it would be tempting to have a yank at the silver lead if it wasn't tucked away well enough, but we have an elevated oven which makes it superb for simply leaving alone once the door's shut to deliver. Great product.
