Not only does this item come without any instructions it also comes with a 2-pin plug - not mentioned in the details. So, when you go to look for an adapter there aren't any unless you happen to be passing through an airport. The normal 2-pin shaver variety come with a 1 amp fuse which cannot be replaced. So being a practical type I replaced the 2-pin plug with a standard UK 3-pin. The straighteners worked for about 2 minutes then blew inside the handle. I asked the seller if the staighteners were 220-240 volt as there was no information in or on the box, they assured me that it was correct for use in the UK?!? Obviously as I had cut the original plug off the cable I had no comeback on the seller and they didn't offer me a refund (even a partial one)when I mentioned the problems with the item - would have been nice!
