The first season of Digimon, an anime for those who thought Pokémon wasn't dramatic enough.

Disc 4 contains eight episodes:

A brilliant series for kids, and for anime fans young and old. Great characters, fun storyline and rather addictive.

This 2-disc set contains 12 episodes, which for the price it's going for at the time of this review, is pretty good!

Unfortunately, the digimon dvd's are being released INCREDIBLY slowly! And I wish they would just release a box-set or at least the other dvd's region 2 for us poor UK fans!

All in all, great series, but if you've never seen it, I suggest waiting for all of the dvds to be released over here, because you'll be hooked to the storyline and desperate to know what happens next!

This is what a proper Digimon DVD should have, two discs and a whole bunch of good episodes in them. This arc here sees the kids get back together after Devimon in the last DVD breaks up File Island in order to separate the kids from stopping them defeating him. Although in the end he is beaten, which leads onto disc 2 of the Etemon Arc, after going to the continent to fight more evil, they now have problems in new ways like finding tags and crests in order to digivolve further and be more stronger than the last enemy.

This is not a bad Digimon DVD, I can't see why some other reviewers have given this one star or four star because it's better than the first two previous releases, just hopefully soon, they will release the rest of the season of Digimon. If you prefer Digimon than Pokemon, get this as this is worth it.

From what I can tell (someone PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong) the last episode on this disk which is episode 20 is the last episode that is widely available on DVD in region 2 format. In other words, episodes 21-52 do not exist.

That is to say that I have seen box sets of all 52 episodes on ebay for £100+ claiming to be region 2. However, these are rare finds and far too much to contemplate buying.

My analysis therefore, is that I a fan wanted to own all 52 episodes of the first series on DVD they would be forced to download it illegally. I don't think that this is really stealing if the product isn't available to be stolen in the first place. But thats just my opinion.

Either that or we can all buy two DVD player: one that will play region 1 DVDs and one that can play region 2 DVDs ... i'm not entirely sure if this is legal ... but then again, neither is the downloading.
