This is a great book, especially for little boys. He's had it since 22 months and loves the pictures and the sounds, particularly the 'boom' of the wrecking ball! I would definitely recommend it :-) He has all 3 - including Trains Go and Trucks Go!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Boy Age 0 to 3 13 Oct 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
Little Boys up to Age 3 Will Love This Book!!

This board book contains the pictures of eight construction vehicles and the sounds each makes as it is used on a construction site—or in your house! The eight vehicles are the excavator goes . . . HUFFT-FALLUMP; forklift goes . . . WHIRRRFFFTT-BONK; jackhammer goes . . . KKAKKA-AKK; dump truck goes . . . PA-LUMP ; front loader goes . . . BRRUMM-SKOOOOOO; steamroller goes . . . CHUG-CHUG; bulldozer goes . . . RRRUMBLE-SCRUUMBLE; and the wrecking ball goes . . . BOOOOOOOOOM!

Diggers Go is a thick board book of an unusual size. It is longer than most books to accommodate the size of these construction vehicles. Little boys will go crazy for this book. When my nephew was three, he would have loved Diggers Go. Like other kids his age, and younger, he was car and truck crazy. Girls might also love this book, but it is really for boys.

When open, Diggers Go is two feet—2 FEET!—of colorful, noisy construction vehicles, busy doing their jobs. A mini-front loader is on the cover and a mini-excavator on the back. In between are those plus six more LARGE vehicles that young boys will really love reading and playing with. Diggers Go will ignite their imaginations and a love of reading.

The pages are thick to withstand major construction. These tough-working, construction-site vehicles are on stand-by, waiting for the right little boy to help them bust, break, and build anything they can imagine. Along with Diggers Go, Trucks Go, and Trains Go are available for your transportation-loving child.

I originally got a couple of these books an Anthropologie. My son loves these. He loves the colors and the noises. He brings them to us to read OVER AND OVER again. When ever his friends come over, they go right towards these books. Plus, they are pretty durable.

Captivating illustrations for even the littlest readers. I have an infant and a 4 year old, and both love this book. The words are sound effects that each machine makes, which is fun and enjoyable for both parent and child. You won't regret this purchase!

I recently bought this for my 8 mo old grandson who LOVES Trains Go. I also bought a copy for a friend's 2 yr old. We gave it to him on an evening when he & my grandson were in a room full of adult family he knew and friends he occasionally saw. Our friend's son was being shy and had his back turned to most of us. An adult he didn't know picked up the book and began reading aloud. Each page is the phoenetic spelling in large varying sizes of sounds a vehichle makes. Young Jack turned to face the reader then turned back. With each new reading of a page he turned to listen. When it was time for bed, his parents took the book upstairs with Jack. When his mom returned downstairs, she reported that they had to read the book 3 times. The books are of a good cardboard construction in a unique size. The illustrations and sounds are very appealing. I would actually give it a 4.5 only because my grandson really likes it, but LOVES Trains Go.
