* This is the first solo CD from her and contains all her known recordings, including two previously unissued 1969 Specialty tracks. Jackie was able to move from slick songs for the dancers to big Southern soul-influenced ballads with ease within the same three hour session. Many of her singles featured a side of each style. Her very rare and expensive Phelectron recording `Naughty Boy' is featured. That label was owned by the father of top LA lawyer Johnny Cochran; he full, fascinating story of its recording is revealed for the first time in the notes.
* All eight of Jackie's Modern recordings are here including the cool jazz influenced of `I Dig It The Most' and the stomping `Get To Steppin'' both left in the vaults until Kent issued them on Various artist CDs. The mod and Northern Soul classic `Before It's Too Late' has been re-mastered from the multi track for the first time and all the Modern recordings are digitally restored to the latest high standards, superior to any other prior releases. As a bonus, there is an alternate vocal take of Jackie's first Modern 45 `Without A Love'.
* Jackies very first session for Ray Dobard's Music City label makes a Kent debut along with her two Paula tracks. These, although Los Angeles recordings, have been admired by southern soul fans for years. Alternate vocal takes of two of Jackie's best ballads have been discovered and included at the end as bonuses.
* LA writer Jim Dawson has written the sleeve notes, aided by his close friendship with Jackie's ex-husband Big Jay McNeely.
