The celebrated band wowed both fans and critics at performances around the world and continued for seven years. For all those years, fans clamored for more and it remained uncertain as to whether or not the Pixies would ever record again. Until ... Read more in Amazon's Pixies Store

from the bossanova album, dig for fire demonstrates frank blacks poppy surfy side (as opposed to his screaming, my-little-sister's-just been-abducted side). some fans dislike such songs as this and Here Comes Your Man, favouring instead the more cut throat tunes featured on surfer rosa. for the rest of those though, the occasional moments of perfect pop thrown in not only add to the splendour of the melting pot, but also to the puzzlement: why weren't the pixies the biggest thing ever? bad timing and worse luck is my sole conclusion.

hard to find 1 Sept. 2002
By Dan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Just for the hardcore Pixies fans out there... The version of Dig For Fire on this single is very slightly different to the LP version (different intro). Worth it if you wanna complete your collection.

An absolutely amazing song from "Bossanova" 19 Jun. 2000
By Bonnie J Caporale - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This song should have been a #1 single. It's catchy, technically brilliant, and crafted with tons of imagination. Get the cd "Bossanova" as well. It's wonderful.
The Pixies were the best.
