Product Description

Have you tried every possible diet and had no success? Have you managed to lose weight and then put it all back on again? Are you sick of fad diets that feel like nothing but hard work? Then you need ‘Diets Don’t Work : an alternative guide to weight loss’ which outlines the simple yet effective ‘I’m not on a diet - diet’. Sports Therapist Peter Nuttall B.Sc. explains what food is, why you need it and how your body uses it so you'll have a full understanding of how to change your lifestyle and eating habits to lose weight without compromising on the foods you enjoy.

“A diet is a regime, a quick fix, a program which can work for a short while but is not sustainable. Once the diet is broken, old habits creep back in and your weight begins to increase once more until you catch sight of yourself in the mirror and decide that the chocolate éclair you’re currently munching on will be your last whilst saying, “I’ll start my diet tomorrow”. If you’ve uttered that sentence more than twice in the last few weeks then this is the book for you. Weight loss can feel like a distant unachievable dream for a lot of people who seem to be on an endless treadmill of different fad diets, abstinence, hunger and unhappiness; but it doesn’t have to be that way. ‘Diets Don’t Work : an alternative guide to weight loss’ will explain how to lose weight healthily by making small changes to your lifestyle without compromising on the foods you enjoy. All of the advice in this book relates to making simple changes your lifestyle and diet for the rest of your life.”

More About the Author

I write about things that make me laugh. I write things I'd like to read if other people had written them. I write about things I know, things I've actually done or been around and involved in. I was Chairman of the Washington Theatre Group which gave me a chance to 'persuade' the group to perform some of the plays I'd scribbled down when I really should have been doing other things. When they were well recieved by audiences it spurred me on to write more. My first play 'Cinderella and the Pantomime Thief' was published by Lazybee Scripts in 2005.

After writing a few more stage-plays I turned my hand to non-fiction, drawing on my experience as a Complaints Manager for the now sadly defunct MFI (which may or may not have had something to do with the amount of money I gave to customers to pacify their complaints) for my book 'I want to complain : an alternative guide to customer service' which was featured on BBC Radio 4's Susan Calman feature 'The art of Complaining' in December 2011.

I'm grateful to each and every person who buys and reads one of my books. The positive feedback I recieve makes every 3am 'must-get-this-chapter-finished' session and 9th cup of coffee of the day worth while.

I have now written and published two novels (one under my psuedonym 'P.R.Fox') and my musical play based on the paintings of Alexander Millar, 'Working Man' was published in November 2013. I'm currently working on a non-fiction book about one of my passions (Football) and a comedy novel set in a haunted Caravan Park called 'Chance?'.

I'm on twitter if you want to say hello : @Peter__Nuttall

Thanks for stopping by.
