I have been a satisfied customer of Pure Package in previous years but because of finances, couldn't continue with it as long as I would have liked. So when I was unhappily researching diets and was not convinced a "diet plan" like SW and WW were ideal for me, I received an email from the Pure Package company that they had released their recipe book. I jumped at the chance of buying it. the book is easy to read, the recipes WORK - sometimes you follow a recipe and it never looks the same as in the picture. I am not an accomplished cook in the kitchen but I was surprised by how easy to follow the recipes were and they do look like the pictures!! a few of asian/thai-based meals - which i love.

I have completed Week 1 of the recommended meal planner (there are 3 in total) and I have to say I have never cooked such deliciously tasty, healthy, fresh meals in my life. I have found it easy to stick to because my body is feeling nourished. I am not craving the refined sugars, breads, saturated fats that I had been guilty of doing in the past. My fridge is stocked with fresh fruit, veg, herbs etc and if your clever with your recipes i.e. eating one meal for dinner and having it for lunch the next day, nothing really goes to waste. I was so amazed by the tasty meals I was making on week 1 of the planner, I am repeating it again this week so I get used to making the dishes. I feel more in control of what I am eating and it feels great. Unlike other diet plans, you are not eating in a way in which you can "earn" your sin or cheat food. That to me is not healthy eating. This is not a book that preaches to you but one which educates you in a simple but straightforward format - eat the rainbow and use your palm as a good indication of your portion sizes.

Having signed up to The Pure Package a couple of times, I am delighted I finally have the recipes to make myself.
The book is packed with beautiful pictures and recipes which I love. The recipes are tasty yet healthy and I have been losing weight AND enjoying my food at the same time which is how it should be! I would definitely recommend this book as a 'diet plan' that is a true pleasure to follow.

Jennifer Irvine puts the lust for good food back into sensible eating. Excellent. I particularly liked the chicken with pesto and the turmeric chicken with spicy aubergines. I am looking forward to trying more.
It's so refereshing to have a book on healthy eating that doesn't keep saying "No, not this, No, not that". But instead says: Enjoy this."

The recipes in the book were a breath of fresh air and I can see how Pure Package has become such a success if the food is of this calibre. Recommended.

With so many cook books easily available it is difficult to find new inspiration - until you read this book. Clever changes to classic recipes make me want to cook them all over again - cannellini bean mash in a pie, peas in guacamole and nifty ways to use new potatoes instead of plain mash. This book does live up to a food lover's exacting requirements, with a plethora of flavourings, all in a healthy package! Can't wait for the next book.

I have had the pleasure of tasting Pure Packages dishes before so was excited to be given this book.
Believe it or not I have never cooked aged 37, so i thought i would start off with some simple receipes. I have now cooked multiple dishes from the book and have had fun cooking them.
All have been very tasty and i will be cooking them again and can highly recommend this book to cooks of any level.

I was lucky enough to get this as a gift, and just love it - the pictures, the recipes, the layout; everything is so beautifully done, and most importantly, the recipes actually work. In fact they look just as good as they do in the pics (so far anyway...) I'm not interested in it as a diet cookbook, just as an easy recipe provider, which it is. It's well priced too - a great present to get someone!

I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of this recipe book, and indeed I spent a long time reading it and drooling over the lovely looking recipes. However, having made the decision to follow the 'Three week plan' detailed at the back of the book to kick start a healthy eating regime, i discover that its almost impossible to follow. Firstly I cannot source a lot of the ingredients, even stuggling to find them online. Secondly, the recipes are 'traditionally' for a family of four. The quantities of ingredients required make it very difficult to halve/make smaller amounts. If I did manage to find the ingredients and didn't mind about wasting the food (no details about whether the meals freeze, I guess not as its all about eating healthy, FRESH produce), I would spend all of my time in the kitchen making the three meals and two snacks a day. No wonder these rich celebs opt for the food delivery packages, they obviously have a life and would like to escape the confines of the kitchen! Having said all that, I have kept the book, as some of the recipes are lovely. In summary, its a beautifully presented cookery book, lovely photographs, and simple enough instructions, however, as a guide for a 'lifestyle plan', I think most of us mere mortals will not have the budget, time or resources to put into practice.
