Product Description

DIE! is the new album from underground hip hop legend Necro. The album features many different styles Necro has from death rap, thug joints, a porn track to pimping, war, fighting & a song about relationships with women. This new album is quite different than his last effort Death Rap which featured that style start to finish, this album features a buffet of Necro styles with production that will be loved by all real hip hop heads all over the earth. You already know Necro's style, its brutal, expect nothing less with DIE! and oh yeah, DIE!

At first listen I was not impressed at all. The cd seemed to be over before it even got going but after a few listens I really got in to this album. My favorite by Necro so far is I Need Drugs (best sampling/cover of LL's song I ever heard!) but Die is still a very good album. Necro will not appeal to everyone but his lyrics are fast, funny and most of all free flowing. Give Die a few listens and you will like it. Stand out tracks include Hey Now (catchy chorus that you will find yourself repeating like I'm doing now!!), The As*hole Anthem (very good lyrics, catchy chorus and great back up singing!) and probably my favourite track First Blood. First Blood is amazing. One of the best tracks I've heard in a long while. In fact buy the track First Blood as a download and you will see how good it is. The album itself is good but these are the main 3 stand out tracks. If you are new to Necro, I would recommend listening to the samples on amazon 1st or buying the cd I Need Drugs - that is the album that got me listening to Necro and I havn't looked back. EDit - After a few more listens there are even more stand out tracks and I changed the rating to 5. This is a must have cd for underground hip hop heads. One or two fillers but even they are ok. Recommended.

As far as i am concerned necro has one of, if not the best flows out there, if you can get passed the sick rhymes (which i must admit is not for everyone)you will hear a talent for music, rhyming and lyrical cleverness. There are no collaberations on this album but im more than happy for necro to carry it. Quirky intros and to my delight snipits from rambo and commando, this is the album to get if your looking for an evil death and sex obsessed genius. Just dont play it infront of your first date or when giving your nan a lift.

The cd is amazing, maybe not his best, but after a few spins you really get into it. Highly recommended for underground rap fans.

This is one of my favorite Necro albums so far. A balanced set of tracks with nice beats. Especially thugcore cowboy, asbestos and set it are classic Necro tracks. A must have for all who dig Necro and Deathrap! DIE!

True to his formula, another nice album - 4.5 stars 17 Jun. 2010

It's been almost 5 years since Necro dropped his last "album", and he returns with another very solid 4 star album. I'm semi-new to him and his work (Only having listened to "I Need Drugs" which is also a solid 4 star and I have "Gory Days" & "Pre-Fix for Death" - just haven't got around to listening to those yet). This one i sslightly above his debut, "I Need Drugs" and again, has very dark, vulgar, sexual, and drug & death related lyrics, a theme he does very very well and stays true to, as well as very dark, tight beats, which as usual, he does produce every song. With 17 sogns, and no guests on the whole album, you get your fix of Necro. 1 is a classic, 14 are good, 1 I skip, and 1 is ok. If you're a fan of his kind of rap/style, definitely check this one out.

Very few hip hop albums will eclipse Pre-Fix and DIE! 19 Nov. 2012

In heavy rotation with Pre-Fix for Death with NECRO's biological brother Ill Bill's albums, "What's Wrong With Bill", "The Hour of Reprisal", and select tracks from "Howie Made Me Do It 2". Don't leave out NECRO's, "Gory Days" which is another brainstorm of lyrical madness. Really from Brooklyn and really from Glenwood Projects, and proud to be. This is east Brooklyn down the street from East New York kind of in East Flatbush but they like to say Canarsie which I won't argue. Very original part which is old school with all the old neighborhood businesses still intact with some industrial aspects. We don't burn our buildings down like Detroit however and The Bronx has been rebuilt. We definitely have some tomb stones laying around in various cemetaries in Queens and Brooklyn. Almost like the only quiet peaceful place to sit down and write rhymes. Makes me understand why he loves his content. I see NECRO's influences and understand where he is coming from. People do some very ignorant things and he is just tallying up the results. He puts a Mr.Yuck sticker on various spots. Not to be confused with commercial radio play as this is hip hop's purest D.I.Y. Psyco+Logical Records doing it Dischord style in another way.
