Since those 'knowledgeable' young bucks at Universal don't seem to realise what a treasure trove they've inherited with Bo Diddley's back catalogue on Chess and thus so far have failed completely to embark on a logical reissue programme of his original albums then we must thank Hoodoo records who obviously do have a grasp of the man's merits and are attempting to do it themselves now he's in the public domain. Their newest Diddley release,"Bo Diddley & Company" is the man's most obscure and underrated album but also one of his best, it's the one with the Duchess with her guitar doubling up behind Bo and is presented here in living stereo. The cash in collection, "Bo Diddley's A Twister", a hastily assembled mixed bag consisting of classics and lesser known material has been added, too, along with four more bonus cuts. Thirty songs in all, great sound and mastering, really informative sleeve notes and memorabilia nicely packaged, great value , a snip at £7! Highly recommended as are the other two Bo Diddley '2 0n 1' releases put out By Hoodoo.
