This dictionary gives definitions from the standpoint of the Qadiani (Ahmadiyyah) Sect - as the author himself was a Qadiani. The Qadianis (the Ahmadiyyah Sect) are not regarded as Muslims by the worldwide Muslim community. This work would be of little use to Muslims or any non-Muslim who wishes to gain a deeper understanding of the Quran as understood by Muslims worldwide.

I bought this book as a replacement for Penrice, but, for me, it's not as good.
The layout is a little confusing and some words don't seem to be listed, although this may be the result of my not being able to find them. On the other hand, if you are not confident in your Arabic, this dictionary is superior to Penrice's, since it contains an alphabetical index, an index of roots, and a lot of information on pronunciation. Penrice's book was also written by a non-Muslim Victorian scholar and restricts itself to strict definitions of the meaning of words. Omar's dictionary has more commentary and details.

It helped me a lot with reference to the terms in the Quran. It was confusing to look for the words in the beginning because you have to know the root word in Arabic. So all in all, its great but with the exception that it will not be that easy to use for those who do not know any arabic.
