to the events and legends surrounding Turpin. This book is not for an adult audience and should not be reviewed as such. The type is large, the chapters small, and the words are simple. Perfect child material, with the main character being a 12 year old boy. My daughter read it in a half hour, and I even read it as I knew nothing about the man. Overall, a worthy purchase for your child.

Short-changed 19 April 2009
This is written from the perspective of spectators in the crowd at Dick Turpin's execution, all of whom knew him in some way or another. Their descriptions of their encounters with him are not very in-depth or revealing. And Dick Turpin doesn't get a say himself.
I know this is intended to be read by children but I can't help but feel that they deserve a bit more of a story than this. I managed to read it in half an hour and considering that it costs the same as adult books, you'd expect to get a bit more for your money.
