About the Author
Born in Wordsley, West Midlands, Claire's formative years were spent variously in the Midlands and Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. Initially pursuing a career in law, her love of language remained, as did her creative ambitions. A self-confessed romantic and dreamer, since becoming a mother, she has found the time and confidence to pursue her long held ambition to become a writer, successfully completing a course in journalism with the prestigious London School of Journalism, before carving out a career as a feature writer. Claire is married to a Product Design Consultant. They have one son. They both work from their home in Kingswinford, West Midlands. Diary of a Sleep Deprived Mum is Claire's debut as an author.

A warm and witty take on all the issues faced by hard pressed parents - lack of sleep being top of the pile. Useful hints and tips make this a must for anyone who fears they may never again enjoy 8 hours solid sleep!

Thoroughly enjoyed this humorous tale about one exhausted Mum's battle with sleep deprivation. I think all parents, if honest with themselves, will identify with the experiences of the author, or those of the eclectic collection of characters in the book. I never realised the subject of sleep deprivation could raise so many smiles and even some laugh out loud moments. A great, witty read for all parents. I await the sequel with interest!

Great book. I read it in two days as I literally couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book for any parent new or old. Was lovely to be able to relate to the author and have a little giggle in agreement. Would make a lovely christmas present for any parent!
