Diana Kimpton

I've never grown out of being pony-mad so I love writing about horses, but I also enjoy writing fantasy, non-fiction and picture books. I've had more than 40 books for children published so far plus two for adults.

I love making people laugh, and my sense of humour often shows in both my fiction and non-fiction. My ability to write comedy has also proved useful with animation scripts, four of which have been shown on CITV.

I originally trained as a maths teacher, but I didn't enjoy it much so I was delighted when I eventually left the classroom for motherhood and a full time writing career. When I'm not writing or playing with horses, I'm one half of The Word Pool - a web design business that builds websites for authors and runs www.contactanauthor.co.uk.
