Marie Jennings describes herself as an innovator. Her life has encompased many challenges in her chosen fields of personal finance, consumer affairs and ommunications. She has innovated in all these fields, and held many appointments in financial regulation, the world of public affairs and public relations and communications. Her work was recognised in 2000 by the award of an MBE.

Her many books been for publishers including Penguin, HarperCollins, Piatkus, Simon & Schuster and Random House (four books). Her innovative work on national television included the development of two national TV series and the screening of well over 100 national TV programmes. Her books have been translated into many languages including Chinese.
