What a collection! 19 Nov 2001

Format:Audio CD
This is a unique album, showing what an amazing songwriter David Bowie is. All the tracks on this album are Bowie songs but the interpretations are incredibly diverse, from Asian-tinted dance music from Tacye to full-on electro funk by The Aries Parallel. Blondie's live version of Heroes is a bit wobbly but features Robert Fripp on guitar so it's quite a unique collaboration in itself. Buster Bloodvessel's romp through The Laughing Gnome is without equal in the history of recorded music. Icehouse (Aussie's finest) start the album with grandeur and class and singer/songwriter David Fisher rounds things off with Memories Of A Free Festival, one of my fave Bowie tracks and I've already got David Fisher's album (from Amazon) so that's a beautiful experience as well. All hail Bowie! Diamond God!

Some great artists, performing one of this generations finest artist!
David Bowie has been at the cutting edge for decades, and this album is a fantastic interpretaion of some of his better known songs and some of his not so well known ones.
From the great sounding "Iva Davies & Icehouse" performing "Loving the Alien" to the biggest nutter in music "Buster Bloodvessel" performing "The laughing Gnome".
You won't find a better sounding album of this kind anywhere!
Congratulations to all involved.
