This is a great book, it has some cool exciting lore in there where it does refer to the sin wars in brief paragraphs. Mainly Rathma Trag'oul but only in name and . (though it doesn't really refer much to him). If you are a fan of The Sin wars then expect to be disappointed, the characters are harder to sympathise with but remember this is a stand alone book not a 3 part story so expect it to be a short story. It does have the same kind of pace and the same style of writing as you would expect from the same author. It is a good read and has made me order then next in the grand series.

Anyone new to the series should start with The Sin War especially if you are new to the Diablo story/game. I wouldnt know how well this book reads if you are not already invested in the Diablo games Lore.

Expect; Necromancers, Westmarch and a very repetitive attack from spiders.

My main issue!
My copy went to page 200 then the next page was 177 then when I got back to page 200 it skipped to 233. Right in the middle of action and key characters being rescued!

A really good novel, fantastic plot and characters. The only problem was that the 30 pages from the book were missing :(. All in all a great book anyway.
