Very much what one would expect. Confirms the suspicion long held by many Type 2 diabetics that the constant command to eat carbohydrates ad nauseum can be ignored as long as one is careful and aware of blood sugar readings!

Since buying and reading this book it has completely altered my understanding and treatment of my diabetes.
It is an easy to understand account of one man's quest to conquer his illness and live as normal a life as possible.
The principles and theories are easy to understand and make sense of what the author is trying to convey.
Buy this book and take control of your life, the principles work and you can work out what is good for you without rigid adhesion to the method used.
To sum up an enlightening read that makes you question the pre conceived dated dogma that most diabetics accept.
Keep an open mind and test the theory yourself.

It does work, this diet. My sugar levels stabilised to a jaw-dropping extent.

The big thing to get to grips with is: NO FRUIT. And yes, a tomato is a fruit.

I could have done with more input on alcohol and the chapter on losing weight isn't as clear as others but Dr Berstein's advice is a no-brainer really: cut the carbs!
