A collector item! 10 Nov. 2012
By Hiram Gomez Pardo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
For many reasons, this album is a real historical document. Jorg Demus plays (In a Conrad Graf 1839) the original score of L.V.B. (CD 2) and the series of different adresses of others composers who contributed to enhance the famous Diabelli Waltz.

I found this album in the well reminded Archive Label on LP format in 1978,. and since then it was a referential document and one of my favorite vinyl albums.

So, at the very moment I saw it on CD format I didn't think it twice and I purchased it.

The remastering process was fabulous. The booklet is rewarding. Demus writes a thoughtful essay and tells us his favorite Diabelli is the recorded by Wilhem Backhaus (which I don't know).

If you love this piece (as I do) you shouldn't leave it aside for any reason.
I recommend it totally.
