This is the best racing game i've ever played ! Graphics are gorgeous. Cars handle well and gameplay is overall excellent. It's a real bargain for that price. You get all that extra stuff for free which is worth more than £20 !

Dirt has stood the test of time. While other driving games have come and gone (and got a little boring after a while!), Dirt3 has enough variety to keep the interest. Online works really well. Happily recommend it!

I have to agree with other reviewers when they say that the graphics are excellent - they truly are. Brilliant damage physics and decent menu system. Ace selection of cars from many eras. This title easily lives up to, and surpasses, other Dirt games in terms to looks and style, but not all is fine in the Dirt3 camp.
My biggest gripe is with the shortness of the races. Admittedly I am only about 33% of the way through so far, but it seems that most races are completed in under 3 minutes. On top of this, often the load times between races and sections can take almost as long as the races and it gets tedious quite quickly. I suppose that superb graphics come at a price.
Please, Codemasters, continue making superb rally games, but let us have a rally game that equates somewhat to a real rally event in the physical world. Races in the game that perhaps last 10-15 mins. A rally event that after the race the gamer really feels like they have achieved something. A feeling of relief that the rally stage is over and that we made it that long without totalling our car! I want to feel as though I have actually been racing for a while and I want my palms to be moist with the sweat of a hundred+ turns of the wheel/controller!
In conclusion then, besides the short races and the long load times this is a great addition to your collection if you are a fan of racing games as I am.

For what this game contains (all the dlc and everything) it is great value for the price. That's not the reason you should buy it however. You should buy it because it's a great game that builds upon DiRT 2 in so many ways I've always been a fan of rally games and was firstly considering buying the standard edition, but for the extra few £££'s is settled for this one. The first time I played it I loved it. It's such an immersive game that maintains it's realism whilst still having that arcade feel. Here's why I liked it...
- The car variety is great and there are lots of iconic rally cars from the 60's all the way to the present.
- With this complete edition, the selection of maps is great. They're all different too, ranging from snowy roads of Norway to the arid surrounding of Kenya.
- The realism. This comes in subtle forms, as well as big realism such as crashes etc. The dirt flying up the car, the sound and the interaction with the environment is amazing. Driving through rivers and water will wipe the dirt off the car etc. When you crash, don't expect your car to be fine after too. It's the little things that make this game so much more realistic and enjoyable.
- The modes. There a lots of modes to choose from, from the games' highly publicised gymkhana, to rallying, to trailblazing and also joyriding. It's all there.
- The graphics are stunning also
Overall, I'd give this game a good 9.5/10. If you like driving game and like exhilarating racers, you'll love this.

Ok so on face value it looks like a very pretty game but would you expect any less from Codemasters?
One thing I will say is if you're planning on buying this I hope you're not allergic to triangles. You'll be sick of them by the end of the game ^_^
Ok so to the details.
The selection of cars is incredible. We have pretty much EVERYTHING that has ever rallied from the 60's onwards including Group B! (my favey)
The tracks are beautifully designed and modelled as are the cars. But the real reason I bought the game is the Gymkhana (Obstacle courses for cars, who'd have thought)
You have the main Gym events in the tour BUT I like the free run. The legendary Ken Block introduces and teaches it in game, then you get to razz around Battersey Power station in a car of your choosing completing set objectives. It's split up into 3 sections, each of which has its own 'Object Specific' objectives (drifting around certain objects, jumping across certain gaps) and then there are many objectives that are universal for the Gymkhana area such as getting so many metres of drift, so many seconds of airtime and the like and that is why I bought the game, and it did not disappoint.
If you have a steering wheel it makes the game much more immersive as you would expect.
Thats about as much as I can actually type off the top of my head as I'm still hyper after playing the game.
ON YEAH one more thing. This game has a very nice way of rewarding completionists. If you get first in every race [fig1] the event [fig2] will be highlighted in gold. If you get gold in every event, the entire season will be highlighted in gold [fig3] just so you can show off to your friends that you ARE the best driver out there
