The 68801 is one of the quietest air purifiers available - ideal for use in bedrooms. It incorporates a full 5 Stage air purification process:
Stage 1:
Foam pre-filter collects larger-sized particles in the air such as pollen and hair and fluff
Stage 2,3,4:
HEPA cartridge (white): remove 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 micron or larger
Multicatalyst filters (grey): absorb and decompose harmful gases such as ammonia and carbon monoxide
Active carbon filter (black): Removes smoke and odour
Stage 5:
Ion generator: Releases negative ions to remove airborne contaminants (such as smog, pollen and dust) by allowing them to attract to surfaces rather than stay in the air
The replaceable filter (Stages 2,3,4 above) is a cartridge filter that inserts into the side of the unit, In typical domestic use it will last 6-12 months. Replacements are available.

My wife and I don't suffer from any allergies etc but our current home seems to gather dust quite quickly and the air is always stuffy. Having this gadget running at full speed for just 30 minutes converted my home office's dusty air into what felt like fresh mountain air! It makes an amazing difference and I'm going to get a couple extra ones for the rest of the house as well.

This is a great machine, the air feels and smells lovely. My breathing has improved tremendously. The only down side is the low setting is very quiet and the medium setting is quite noisey. I would like a middle ground because I like a noise in the room that blocks outside noises and neighbours. The medium setting blocks out noise but is just a bit too loud. Other than that this is great.

I purchased this item to help my night allergies and my 2 month old's blocked nose. It did the trick pretty quickly and I now have it on throughout the day. The low setting has a tolerable noise level-like a fan, but the other two are loud in comparison, hence the"on through the day". It is too loud to have on at night above the first setting. It comes with an apple scented block which is lovely while it lasts, unfortunately that's not long, but I expected that. All in all very good as it's made night time bearable again. I would buy more of the same for other rooms.
