Sangharakshita's translation... will make a valuable contribution to our understanding of this basic scripture of Buddhism. This is both a book to read many times and one to have on the shelf for reference. --Pure Land Notes, 2001

The Dhammapada is one of the most popular and influential of Buddhist scriptures. Contained within its short verses are the essential teachings of the Buddha, words to be savoured, reflected upon and revisited. As always Sangharakshita gives us a graeat and very understandable translation. This is a very important and beautuful sutra, and after reading it several times, and in different translations, this, with no doubt is the best. Every Buddhist, or person interested in spiritual matters should read it. Very enjoyable
