Why Cast Iron? Cast iron is an excellent conductor of heat which ensures an even heat distribution on all heat sources including induction.
Why French Cast Iron? Quite simply it's the best. The Ardennes region of France has been manufacturing premium quality cast iron cookware for generations.
Why Chasseur? Chasseur Cast iron is all hand crafted for consistent quality with a double coating of enamel. The primer coat seals the body while the coloured top coat not only provides an attractive appearance but also adds to the durability of the product and allows easy cleaning. The Chasseur range consists of Round and Oval Casseroles, Saucepans, Oval and Rectangular Serving Dishes and Roasters, Pate terrines, numerous Frypans and Grillpans plus Woks and Fondues.
Suitable for Cooking and Serving: Can be used on the hob, in the oven and under the grill for cooking and/or roasting plus ideal for serving. The attractive colourful appearance means they can go straight from the cooker to the table where due to the heat retention of the Cast Iron they will keep your food warm for second helpings. And when you've cooked and served they are easy to clean either in the dishwasher or in hot soapy water.
GRILLPAN
Cooking: Incredibly versatile, energy efficient and practicle. The Grillpans can be used on all hobs (including induction and Aga), under the grill and in the oven. As the Grillpans are ribbed they are especially suitable for cooking meat where the attractive ribbed markings can be obtained. The internal enamel while virtually indestructable is not non stick and thus should be lightly oiled prior to cooking. As the handle is also cast iron any cooking can, if required, be finished off under the grill or in the oven.
Serving:Once the cooking has finished the Grillpans can be used for serving at the table. The external enamel ensures that the grillpan looks the part while the food is kept warm by the cast iron which once again retains its heat.
Cleaning:The Grillpan can either be cleaned in the Dishwasher or in warm soapy water. In the case of stubborn food the dish can be happily left to soak overnight. The enamel is virtually indestructable and while not non stick makes cleaning easy.
