I cannot fault this drill.Its regularly used for drilling 10mm diameter holes to a depth of 160mm for rawlplug fixings and it performs consistently,is reasonably light and comes in a tough carry case with two batteries.If there were ten stars to be awarded then i would.

I've owned one of these drills for 3 years now & have never been anything but delighted with it. The ergonomics are great & the tool definately has a feel of toughness & durabilty. With 2 joules of impact energy per hammer blow the Dewalt is plenty powerful enough & for my money, better than the Makita or Bosch i've tried. It's also pretty powerful in straight drilling mode but feels a bit long & heavy with the chuck & adaptor on the front. Battery runtime is on a par with most (2.0 ah Nicad) but with the 1hr charger & 2 batts you can just keep going 9 times out of 10. I regularily drill 8 - 12mm holes in concrete/masonry & for this size it is just perfect although it will go larger, It does everything i can ask of it, day in - day out & i would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone - Top marks Dewalt!
